HUDSON RIVER, LOOKING NORTH FROM WEST POINT.
The Hudson River, named in honor of Hendrick Hudson, by
whom it was explored in 1609, has no equal in the Bavigable
waters of the United States, its entire length to Troy, N. Y.,
150 miles, is one continuous panorama of natural beauty.
At West Point is the United States Military Academy, &
regular army post, and probably the most interesting stopping
place up the river.
