| Called 'circle-of-painted-cliffs' by the Indians, this vast amphitheater is almost half a mile deep and two miles from rim to rim. Its walls are eroded and broken into massive colored ridges radiating from the center, white or orange at the top, breaking into deep rose and coral. |
