Nation's first supersonic bomber. Now being tested in Fort Worth. Called "Hustler," the B-58 bomber was developed for United States Air Force by Convair Division, General Dynamics Coporation. Plane is now in initial production at company's Fort Worth plant. Three-man crew flies the faster-than-sound bomber. It is powered by four General Electric jet engines mounted in separate "pods" beneath triangular wings. B-58 carries detachable "pod" slung under its narrow fuselage. In background is Corswell Air Force Base.
