Creator of Instant Art Born in Poland in 1932, he managed to survive the Nazi occupation of Poland. He emigrated to this country in 1949 and opened a small studio in the Bronx. He now has a studio in Greenwich Village. His religious paintings are considered to be among the finest in traditional Jewish studies and his life size portrait of Pope Paul VI has been reproduced by the millions and sold throughout the world. He is also famous for his extremely fast palette knife technique called INSTANT ART and has appeared on television in seven countries to demonstrate it, including the programs, “What’s My Line” and “ABC National News.” A History of the U.S. Presidency in Art: This set of cards has been created as a dedication to this great country and to honor its great leaders. Artist Morris Katz created these original paintings over a period of six years and they have now been reproduced in post card form.
