to witness his thirty-sixth annual street pageant, at St. Louis the
night of Tuesday, October 7, 1913, and other notable Velled Prophet
Week events for which the railroads have made the most extensive
reduced rates to St. Louis and return since the Louisiana Purchase
Exposition. These rates extend east to New York City and Boston,
north to Canada, south and southwest to the Gulf, and West to the
Pacific coast. His Mysterious Majesty's 1913 pageant, having as its
theme" The Seven Ages and the Five Senses," tells strikingly the
story of life. There are two divisions, one picturing Shakespeare's
Man from the Infant to Old Age, and the other fllustrating the
Senses, first seriously,then humorously. A happy blend of the clas-
sie and the popular, the pageant ends with a boxing bout. Besides
this great procession of twenty electric floats (costing, with the ball,
between $40,000 and $50,000), the St. Louis Fall Festivities of 1918
will include:
AVIATION-Veiled Prophet Week at Forest Park or Mississippi
River or both, as weather permits, by Aero Club of St/Louis.
CENTENNIAL OF GERMAN LIBERATION-October 4 to 11,
inclusive. Official national ceremonies commemorating hundredth
anniversary of Napoleon's defeat by Germans and allies. Biennial
convention of National German - American Alliance, October 6
to 8 inclusive. Automobile tour of St. Louis, October 6, by distin-
guished visitors. Napoleonic war living pictures and tableaux and
chorus of 2000 at Coliseum, night of October 8, Torchlight parade,
October 9, with 12,000 men, military escort of 2000, and historical
floats. Unvelling of the Jahn monument, Forest Park, October 11,
attended by a monster parade of Turners.

SHOW-At Forest Park Highlands, October 6
to 11, inclusive. America's first display of 1914 models.
MOTORCYCLE RACES-October 8, 9, 11 and 12, at St. Louis
Motordrome.
MOTORBOAT RACES-On Mississippi River, October 5, under
auspices of Western Rowing Club.
