PHILIPSE MANOR HOUSE-In 1693 Frederick
Philipse's possessions, extending from the Spuyten
Duyvil Creek to the Croton River, were erected by
Royal Charter into the Manor of Philipsburg. The
old house in Yonkers, called the Manor Hall, is said
to have been erected in 1686, but the date is uncertain.
