LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW-The scene of
the Legend of Sleepy Hollow is laid in the valley of the
Pocantico, just north of Tarrytown. The story tells of
the nocturnal pursuit of Ichabod Crane by a "headless
horseman" who carried his head under his arm and
hurled it at Ichabod as he crossed the Sleepy Hollow
bridge.
