Additional Details:
The home of Col. Isaac Hutchinson, who commanded the Danvers company of minutemen that marched form Danvers to Lexington and Concord April 19, 1776. On the night of April 20, 1776, the heroes who were killed in battle were brought to this house and placed on the kitchen floor, wrapped in their bloody winding-sheets. The house stood until 1880, when it was demolished.
