ROCK POINT is the residence of the Rt. Rev. A. C. A.
Hall, the present Bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Diocese
of Vermont. The grounds, now comprising over 100 acres,
were originally purchased by the Rt. Rev. J. H. Hopkins,
the first Bishop of the Diocese, in 1841. On June 7th, 1860,
a large Gothic stone building was completed as a boys'
school and theological seminary, and on Sept. 19th, 1888,
a handsome building for a girls' school was consecrated.
