Additional Details:
A sailor from the battleship "New Hampshire" established the Robbins Nest with ninety dollars received from the Government after the World War. The original part of the building is built from an old Covered Bridge! Thousands come each season for tea or dinner-others to browse about and enjoy the cool porches, high above the river, or to view the paintings exhibited by well-known artists. The Gift Shop is widely known for its unusual assortment of novel creations.
