Additional Details:
The Home Office building of the Aetna Life Insurance Company was designed by James Gamble Rogers and is the largest structure of Colonial design in the world, measuring an eighth of a mile in length. It is surrounded by a beautifully landscaped park of 22 acres, situated in the exact geographic center of Hartford, "The Insurance City." Twenty-four hundred employees are busily engaged in this building in handling the many details connected with the hundred or more forms of insurance written by the Aetna Life Insurance Company and its Affiliated Companies and in providing efficient service to the 25,000 Aetna representatives and the hundreds of thousands of Aetna policyholders throughout the United States and Canada.
