The B-19, largest airplane ever built, was constructed
for the U. S. Army Air Corps under their direct supervision.
Its mighty wings measure 212 feet from tip to tip; its 4
powerful Wright Duplex-Cyclone motors total 8,000
horsepower; the fuel capacity is 11,000 gallons, enabling
the B-19 to fly from Los Angeles to London and back to
New York; a basic crew of 10 mans the plane which re-
fitted as a troop transport could carry 125 men.
