Cotton Picking. One of the greatest industries of
America is the raising and weaving of cotton. The
former built up our southern states and is still one
of their chief sources of wealth. Most of the weav-
ing of cotton into various fabrics is done in the
northern states and in Europe. This group depicts
a typical cotton hárvesting scene in Mississippi.
