Henry Barnard Hall at Central Connecticut State College
in New Britain is named for the first principal of New
Britain State Normal School, which was established in
1849, the forerunner of the College. The building houses
the departments of art, science, and industrial arts.
CCSC offers programs in the professional preparation of
teachers and in the liberal arts.
