The United States Marine Hospital is located
at Henry Clay Avenue and Tchoupitoulas Street.
It was built by the United States government for
treatment of American and Foreign sailors. Sailors
of this country are not charged, but those of foreign
countries $1 per day, which amount is paid by their
respective consuls.
The reservation upon which this institution
stands occupies three city squares.
