STATUE OF THE ANGEL MORONI
THIS figure is 12 feet high, and surmounts the central spire of the
City, Utah. It is made
copper, covered with gold leaf, and represents the angel who de-
livered the plates from which the Book of Mormon was translated,
to Joseph Smith. He was the son of Mormon, who compiled the Book
of Mormon about 400 A. D.
