THE HOSPITAL OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL,
on Church Street, is a Roman Catholic institution under the
supervision of the Sisters of Charity. Its front is of pressed brick
with marble trimmings, the structure being of simple design
but well built. The celebrated soldier Pickett, of the Civil
War, is said to have died here.
