HOOK'S HISTORICAL DRUG STORE
AND PHARMACY MUSEUM on the
Indiana State Fairgrounds is one of the
nation's most authentic and largest 19th
Century drug store restorations. Opera-
ted by Hook's Drugs, Inc. (a retail
chain), it is open seven days a week
year 'round. Featuring 1852 fixtures and
operating an 1875 vintage soda foun-
tain, the store received an award by
the Indiana Sesquicentennial Commission
for the most unusual and outstanding
corporate contribution to the obsery-
ance of the state's 150th birthday and
the award of excellence from The
American Institute of the History of
Pharmacy.
