An aerial view of Hibbing Taconite Company located on
Minnesota's Mesabi Iron Range. This facility was
developed in 1973 and was designed to produce 8.27
million tons of taconite pellets annually. Actual iron ore
mining on the Mesabi Range began in 1892.
