MET CENTER - BLOOMINGTON, MINNESOTA
Opened on October 21, 1967, for 26 seasons the Met Center
was home to the Minnesota North Stars professional hockey
team. It was also home for the Muskies and Pipers of the
American Basketball Association, the Buckskins of World
Team Tennis, the Fillies, a women's professional basketball
team, and the Strikers, a professional indoor soccer team.
The building was imploded on December 13, 1994 to make
way for future development. The 57 acre site is located
between the Mall of America and interstate 494.
