The home of the New York Yankees since 1923,
Yankee Stadium has undergone an extensive re-
modeling program, and is now considered one of
the more beautiful sports arenas anywhere. While
maintaining much of the charm of the "old" park,
the "new" stadium has all the modern conveniences.
The stadium has played host to 27 of the Yankees
29 World Series, with the Yankees winning all of
their 20 World Championships there. The Stadium
has also been the site of many epic football
battles, and 29 boxing championships have been
decided at the stadium. Pope Paul VI delivered the
only Papal mass ever held in America at the stadium
in front of nearly 100,000 people,
