The Fordson Plant of the Ford Motor Company
has an area of 1100 acres within which are more
than 12 miles of roadways, 86 miles of railroad
track, and a large dock for freighters of the Great
Lakes. At this plant the company operates its own
power plant, blast furnaces, coke ovens, steel mills,
largest foundry in the world, cement plant, glass
plant, body plant, saw mill, paper mill, Fordson
tractor plant, machine shop, and motor assembly
plant.
