Main entrance on North Park avenue, Bridgeport,
to St. Margaret's Shrine. The chapel on the right,
built from material from a famous colonial mansion,
was the first building erected, in 1942. In the center
may be seen the incomplete Temple of Peace and on
the left the Nativity chapel. The entire area con-
tains numerous episodes in the Life of Our Savior,
amid a magnificent setting of huge oaks and ever-
greens. It is only two miles from the center of the
city and a few hundred yards from the Merritt Park-
way. It may be reached from the Parkway via the
Park avenue exit.
