SANTA FE, N. MEX.
It was built after the Spanish Capitol was rentoyed, to
Santa Fe in 1605 by Franciscan Friars, in zoal to dopyert
the pagan Indians. During the Indian Rebellion of 1680
it was burned. The walls remained, so Haaf ongthe rée
conquest by DeVargas in 1692 only slight repairs were
required and the original appearance remains Jo Ghis day
