CHINCOTEAGUE YACHT AND SPORTSMAN'S CLUB
CHINCOTEAGUE, VA.
This boardwalk and dock was designed by Commodore
Talmadge Wilcher and built by Retired Machinist Mate,
Charles Tar. The lumber and piling in this boardwalk
and dock was cut and sawed from the Club's lands.
The famous wild ponies of Assateague Island can be
viewed from this dock every day. The annual Pony Round-
up occurs near here and the ponies swim the channel
within 300 yards of the boardwalk.
