a butcher to his
bride, Mrs. Balsar
and used as a hotel
and dance hall.
In 1870 it was
sold to J. Whiteside
- who dug a fortune
from Crane's Gulch.
and converted into
an opera house.
Later it was
taken over by Lane
and Sornberger, mer-
chants, who in turn
sold it to Memento
Lodge, the present
owners.
The lodge room
is used by the Odd
Fellows, Rebekahs,
Native Sons and
Native Daughters.
are held
lower hall.
