The Prado and Indian Statue. The Prado, Havana's
fashionable parade ground, is a long and handsome boule-
vard, consisting of a double promenade lined with seats,
and drives on each side: it contains many small parks
with fountains and statues, and in one of these, India
Park, is the India Fountain, which is surmounted by the
figure of an Indian girl. The fountain is of Carrara marble
and was made in Rome; it was presented to the city by
Count Villanueva, whose estate was here.
