THE COLONEL HUTCHINSON HOUSE,
DANVERS, MASS. The home of Col. Isaac Hutch-
inson, who commanded the Danvers company of minutemen
that marched from Danvers to Lexington and Concord April
19, 1776. On the night of April 20, 1776, the heroes who were
killed in battle were brought to this house and placed on the
kitchen floor, wrapped in their bloody winding-sheets. The
house stood until 1889, when it was demolished. 258.
