The Murals - George Washington High School
Additional Details:
One of our school's most distinctive features is the murals that decorate the walls of its main lobby. In warm colors and bold design, they commemorate scenes from our nation's early history and the life of George Washington. Here in the center of school traffic, to and from the main entrance, the play courts, the esplanade, and the north and south wings, is the famous meeting place of Washingtonians. As friends hurry away to their various duties. there rings through the corridors the familiar - "Meet me under the dead Indian!" From the Darlene Thorne Collection |
