To join the POSTAL AERO CLUB, and take a free ride to the
clouds in our Captive Airship,
In order to educate and interest people in the science of Aerial
Navigation we have decided to build a strong. well made, cylindrical
gas bag or balloon with car attached for engine, propeller and four
passengers. It will be operated similar to captive balloons at the
end of a 1.000 foot cable. rising gracefully from the ground and
making a big circle until it reaches the end of the cable when a
stationary engine on the ground wiH pull it down again. Being
arranged so that the gas bag forms a parachute in case of loss of gas
or accident it is absolutely safe.
Members of the club are given one ticket good for a ride 1000 feet
up in the air free but all other passengers will be charged $1.00 for
each ride.
Our airship will be operated in San Francisco, Oakland. Stock-
ton. Sacramento. Fresno. San Jose, Bakersfield. Los Angeles. Red-
lands, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and other points on
the Pacific Coast.

Sign your name and address on application blank or other side
of this card and mail it to us immediately and we will send you cer-
tificate of membership in the club for one year and a ticket good for
a ride in our airship-if you don't want to take the ride yourself
when the ship is completed and you see how safe it is let the club
sell your ticket for you for $1.00-this gives you membership and a
free ride or $1,00 for simply signing your name and in addition to
this you will receive pictures. etc. showing the world's progress in
Aerial Navigation.
