ESSICK RACE TRACK. Hot Springs boasts of two
race courses, - the Oak Lawn and the Essick Race Track.
Sometimes the winter and spring races are run at one track,
sometimes at the other. The track is a mile in extent and is
under the auspices of the Jockey Club. An annual meeting
of 60 days is held, when 2,000 track favorites entertain Hot
Springs visitors.
