ELIZABETH COLLEGE for women, founded in 1897,
stands in an oak grove of 20 acres, about a half mile from the
city. The grounds, building and equipments represent $250,000.
The main building is 172 by 143 feet, four stories high, and
constructed of brick and Indiana limestone. There are thirty
instructors and about 130 students.
