Preserve This Imposing Historical Structure Vote Yes On Measure D November 2, 1976. This imposing Court House building replaced Placer County's first county center which was built in 1854 on the same site. In 1890 the Placer County Board of Supervisors levied a five cent tax for a new building which when finished the total cost was $173,583.55 completely furnished.
