Dear LYNNIE
This is to let you know I have arrived at
Parks Air Force Base about 35 miles from San
Francisco, where I am temporarily assigned to
the 2353d Personnel Processing Squadron prior
to shipment overseas.
I am presently undergoing the overseas-pro-
cessing routine, which consists of orientation
lectures, immunizations, checking personnel rec-
ords, etc.
When all this is finished, I'll leave here by
bus for the Port of Embarkation to board either
a plane or a ship by which I'll travel to my
overseas destination. I will probably be leaving
in the next 2 or 3 days and will send you my
new mailing address before I leave here, so that
I may hear from you again with the least delay.
