Our new cocktail lounge and swimming pool are directly loca ted upon
the OLD TOBACCO ROAD made famous in the theatrical and literary
world a number of years ago by Georgia born author Erskine Caldwell.
The road was originally built about 1789 to enable tobacco farmers
to roll tobacco hogsheads to the Savannah River for shipment to the
Port of Savannah and other points. The road now begins West
property and extends nine miles to Fort Gordon.
