Thursday, September 27, 1917 - Palace Hotel. Speaker: Dr. Ray Lyman Wilbur, Assistant to the United States Food Control Director. Subject: Hoover and the War Programme. Dr Wilbur has just returned from Washington where he has served as assistant to Herbert Hoover, Director of Food Control for the United States. Charles H. Bentley, who will leave for Washington on the same service, on Thursday afternoon, will make a few remarks. Regular Luncheon Saturday, September 29, 1917. Speaker: Capt. F.L. Goord, of the British Army Subject: The Battles of Festubert and Loos. Captain Goord saw hard service on the Western front and was the only officer of his company surviving the battle of Loos. 75 cents per plate. Luncheon served at 12:30. John A. Britton, Chairman.
