THE M. H. DE YOUNG MEMORIAL MUSEUM at San
Francisco, Calif., is a leftover from the California Mid-
Winter Fair held in 1895. At the present time, the origi-
nal 6,000 items purchased from the fair have been in-
creased to over 1,000,000.
