the inills at Valley Forge. When asington came, he
occupied his ariny tent and shared the log fires with his
soldiers, but on Christmas Day, 1777, it is stated, he ac-
cepted the offer of Mr. Potts to make his home the head-
quarters. Washington remained here until June 19th,
1778. The house is in a fine state of preservation, stands
near the mouth of Valley Forge stream and has an outlook
on the river.
