This tiny little fish belongs to the same
family as the Omakaha, also the rock-
fishes of the California coast. It is a beau-
tiful little fish, rarely reaching a length of
more than 3 or 4 inches. The dorsal and
pectoral fins are unusually large and deli-
cately colored.
