THESE TWO BUILDINGS, SITUATED AT THE CORNER OF HOWARD AVE. AND CAMP ST. THE LIBARY ERECTED 1888, BY MRS. ANNIE HOWARD PARROTT, AS A MEMORIALTO HER FATHER, CHARLES T. HOWARD, COST $115,000. AND HAS AN ENDOWMENT OF $200,000. THE MEMORIAL HALL HAS AN ENTRANCE ON CAMP ST.ERECTED 1891, AT A COST OF $40.000. THE MEMORIAL HALL IS IN CHARGE OF THE LOUISIANA HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION, AND IS VERY ATTRACTIVELY FITTED UP. ROWS OF CASES CONTAINING PRECIOUS MEMENTES OF THE SOUTH, WHILE THE WALLS ARE DECORATED WITH MANY BATTLE SCARED FLAGS. THE HALL IS OPEN EVERY DAY TO VISITORS.
