The University of Chicago is located
on the south side, 7 miles from the
business centre, facing the Midway
Plaisance, the campus now covering an
area of 95 acres. Rosenwald Hall
(right) and Walker Museum (left) are
connected by a tower. Rosenwald
Hall is devoted to the Departments of
Geology and Geography, and Walker
Museum contains the scientific collec-
tions. The tower with a weather vane
is the Observation Station of the United
States Weather Bureau.
