The magnificent White Stone Temple of the
Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Ma-
sonry at Sixteenth and S Sts., N. W., Washington,
D. Č., was built at a cost of $1,250,000.00 and is the
most beautiful Masonic Temple in the World. The
main floor contains thirty-three rooms, symbolic of
the thirty-three states which compose the Southern
jurisdiction of the rite. Administrative offices are
on the second floor. The third floor is devoted to
the Cathedral, seventy-five feet square, which, with
its interior decorations, is one of the most beauti-
ful chambers in the world.
