Ma grabbed a stick at Rabbit Creek
And Lola mgade hot track.
Then Lotta sang to the miners' gang
While Ma held apron tight,
The miners' gold into it rolled!
She picked up all in sight!
At last one day Ma hooked the bay
To the buckboard 'tween each thill.
Whence Lotta and Ma left shiftless Pa
And drove on down the hill.
They took the road to the Mother Lode,
And far off Shasta to wn-
Where "Captain Jinks of the Horse Marines"
Brought more gold falling down.
