Making Money- The U.S. Mint accepts your gold or silver, melts and assays it and pays you for it according to weight and fineness. The metal is then made into ingots of standard fitness, rolled into strips, cut into blanks and stamped according to denomination required. The Mint is located across the street from Walter N.
