Geronimo--“Big Jim”--the world's largest steer,
and bigh grade Hereford cattle on his ranch
near Hereford, Texas. This 7-year old steer
was given to the late Will Rogers by Mr. Hill THIS SIDE OF CARD IS FOR ADDRESS
in December, 1934. After Mr. Rogers' death in
August, 1935, Mrs. Rogers gave "Big Jim”, the
name given him by Mr. Rogers, to the Salvation
Army in Los Angeles, and he was auctioned off
for the benefit of the needy, bringing the sum
of $693.00. This picture was made the day Mr.
Hill presented this mammoth steer to Mr.
Rogers, Big Jim was also exhibited at the
Texss Centennial at Dallas in 1936.
