WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY, Pullman
This campus intersection atop "College Hill" is
the focal point of student traffic at W.S.U. Holland
Library, with a collection of approximately 800,000
volumes, is in the left foreground, with the
Compton Union Building, hub of campus extra-
curricular activity, beyond. On the right, beyond
the trees, are portions of College and Wilson
Halls.
Washington State University, chartered in 1890, is
the state's land grant university. Its instructional
program is carried on through eight undergraduate
colleges and a graduate school. Its research and
extension services encompass every Washington
county.
