THE RED ONION, one of Skagway, Alaska's
historical buildings, was built in 1898. The
upstairs was a house of ill-repute. The gift
shop, opened in 1970, offers a complete line
of Alaska curios and souvenirs, with the
upstairs still keeping the old flavor of the
“Red Lights” intact, characterized by the
“Girls” in the windows.
