PART OF NAT (KING) COLE'S FAMILY
Rev. E. J. Coles, born and reared in Montgomery,
Ala., is shown with his wife and his daughter-in-
law, Mrs. Ike Cole and her 3 sons. Rev. Coles is
pastor of the First Baptist Church of North Chi-
cago, III. He is past president of the Pastors'
Conference of the Greater Chicago area and the
proud parent of 3 sons and a daughter with great
musical talent, of whom Nat is the best known.
However, Eddy and Ike are also much in demand.
Nat and Eddy were born and reared in Montgom-
ery, Ala. Rev. Coles derives great pleasure from
the fact that his children lead quiet, peaceful
lives. He quotes “Train up a child in the way he
should go, and even when he is old, he will not
depart from it." All the children have dropped
the "s" off of Coles to simply “Cole".
