Embedded in the inner walls of The
Watchtower at Desert View are a number
of Indian pictographs, transferred fiom
the rock-surfaces of caves and cliffs where
they were carved by aboriginal artists in
prehistoric times.
The walls also contain groups of color-
ful symbolic paintings by the famous Hopi
artist, Kabotie.
