This interesting rustic sign greets travelers
at the railroad station in Douglas. More than
125 brands of cattlemen well known in this
vicinity are burned into it, together with sil-
houettes of grotesque formations to be seen
in "Wonderland of Rocks" in the nearby Chiri-
cahua National Monument. About its base
are specimens of desert vegetation native to
this section - prickly pear and hedgehog
cactus, cholla, yucca and ocotillo.
